Default CD player not working

I have a 2004 Impala that I got almost 2 months ago. The Cd player does not pull in the cds. But when I press the eject button it makes a noise. Might it be possible that there is a cd stuck in there somewhere? Could it be a fuse? Sometimes a couple of the seek buttons are not lit up ,the ones that are under the CD player itself. Can anyone give me some input on what it could be? I have tons of CD's that I would love to here in my car again.

Need a new radio....there's no fix for these things. You might want to have the dealer pull the radio for repair, but you'll be without for a couple weeks

I have a 2004 Impala as well. It has a dynamite audio system compared to my 2006 Monte.

I think you have a stuck CD in there. I have noticed that sometimes my home made CD's are thinner than purchased CD's. The player can't eject them very well and it is difficult to get them out of the player.

My Monte had issues with tracking and since it was under warrenty, the dealer elected to replace the entire radio/cd system!

Not a fuse issue, cause if it were you wouldn't have any power at all.

Thanks to everyone who gave input. I don't know why but my CD player mysteriously started workin today. My speakers suck though so does anyone have any suggestions on any decent speakers, something that has some bass. Nothing that big but something so I don't have to be embarassed to turn up. My seven year old complains about the speakers "making funny noises in her ear."

I have always been a big fan of infinty or MTX. Infinity speaker have a really nice, clear, full range of sound. MTX speakers offer more bass and can handle a bit more of a beating. Both can be found at futureshop.
