hey guys,
i just took the 03 impala to the dealer for a diagnostic check, and they told me that my it is my lifters making the very loud nasty sound. this is how it sounds, if you were blindfolded and stood in the front of the car, it sounds like a dully diseal truck. is there a easy fix to that?
or better yet what causes it?
the motor was rebuilt about 300 miles ago.

We the lifters replaced? Were the rocker arms tightened properly?

 

How About A spun Rod Bearing?

 

the spun rod bearings were replaced. only thing that i can think of would be bad lifters does that happen?
or could it be a bad oil pump not pumping oil to it?
