i have dealing with this lite for some time now, but is getting worse. I get in to and start up the car if the temp outside is warm but not hot the lite comes on and will stay on while driving i have checked the antifreeze multiple times, i also can hear the fan running constantly. The A/C is not even on I need HELP please i can not afford a lot of money i just took in my 4 grandchildren and this is the only vehicle i have to get them to school Please any info appreciated. it is a Chevy Equinox 2007

 

Either the temp sensor is at fault, turning on the hot light, and fan, or a stuck thermostat. Try when you start it the next time "cold", with the a/c on. That should turn on one of the fans, follow that. Word of caution, if it is overheating, replaced the thermostat, might be best to do that anyway.
