Default hard start....

im new to the forum hi to all i stay out on the east cost in pa. well now down to business i have a 2002 chevy impala 3.4l v6, no check engine light on, i recently changed the spark plugs,wires, fuel filter, pcv valve, resignator, catalytic converter..... i have two question hopefully some one can shed some light on it. in the morning after the car has been sitting over night i get in it and i have a hard start, by that i mean it does not turn right on. it cranks for about (5-8 sec) then turns on. also i think my muffler is done for, if the muffler is done will i lose acceleration/horse power when stepping on the gas.

ill bet u didnt put dielectric grease on the plug tip and wire boots, on the east coast things corrode...fast put dielectric grease on and see if it cure it

Rent a fuel pressure tester from autozone and do a leak down test on it. I think it is a bad fuel pressure regulator allowing the pressure to bleed down over night. Try turning the key to the on position and back off one time before you start and see if it fires right up.

ill try the turn key on then off then try to start it in the morn. and get back to you also would the battery have anything to do with it.......

could it be the gas i using 89 should i switch that or it doesnt matter
