Default Help?

Hello everyone, my name is Neidra. I need some opinions or ideas with my car. I have an 2002 Chevy Impala 3.4L with 148,000 miles (original owner). I have had what I thought was an exhaust leak for about a month (it started making a sucking noise and I could smell exhaust easier), well today on my lunch hour, my car started missing and shaking and running like crap with the check engine light blinking..I referred to my owner manual and it refers to the emisssions of the car..I get off of work and have the "codes" ran at an Auto Zone and they gave me a list of things..it said misfire on cylinder 1, probable causes, spark plugs..wires..coil..ignition system..vacuum leak, injector fault and high or low fuel pressure..well..I had the spark plugs and wires replaced about 1 year ago..I don't have anyone (mechanic) to look at it tonight and wanted to know where to start.
Can someone help me with this here?

Hey HS,
Yes I do the usual maintence..oil change..all of that, just had a transmission flush as well. Spark Plugs..can't remember, I went with the plugs that had the lifetime warranty at Auto Zone, fuel filter, catalitic convertor..those things no idea, have not specifically asked for those to be checked..I am at the mercy of the public having no idea what needs to be done. I did read about the Impala cat problems in the chevy forum yesterday though, sounds like a good candidate as well. Thanks for any ideas you might have.

Souynds like you have a plug missing. Go with ACDelco all the way. the tranny flush is going hurt your tranny than help it, You NEVER need to do a tranny flush, its says no where in your manual to do it, it hurts the life of your tranny.
Take it to a shop asap
