Wanted to trade 2014 impala but with only 3000 miles on it it depreciated trade value was 14000 off sticker. are they mistreating me? thanks bumperking

It also has to do with supply and demand, There usually tends to be less supply of many imports, especially ones that were built overseas, if the demand is high, and the supply low they will go for higher prices, if the cars are a dime a dozen, then they will sell for lower prices. Unfortunately Impala's are easy to find and plentiful. If you want to get a car that hold's it's value better, than find something the rental fleets do not buy, rental fleets are great at lowering a brands resale value especially on the more popular models that they use. Look at the last generation Impala, it earned the nickname as the Rental Queen, pretty much devaluing all Impala's of that generation. Just about every used car lot in the country has Impala's that are from rental fleets.
