Default Impala signal light problem

My 2002 Impala signal lights work sometimes and sometimes they don't. I've changed the flasher. The weird thing is that usually if I hit the hazards for a few seconds that then the signal will work. Also, if I turn the turn signal on when's it's not working, the brakes lights stop working. My husband says one shouldn't have anything to do with the other but that's what's happening. He hates to take stuff to the Chevy garage and blow a load of money if it's something maybe we can fix. Anyone have any ideas?

When you say you've changed the flasher you mean you changed the hazard switch right? The only other common point between the signals\hazards\brake lights is the signal switch itself. May want to look into that

Hopefully that goes the same with chevrolet impala tail light. I've replced them lots of times already but haven't experienced them to be always in good condition.
