How similar are the parts for the malibu and Impala. Has anyone tried to swap anything out? Do they even share the same frame?

I'm talking about the 1998-2003 era. I was thinking of stealing a couple parts to make a creation.

Not the same body. Impala is a W-Body long

 

Is a front end swap possible without frame modification. Will the core support, bumper guides, foam insert and impact beam fit without welding?

 

Thinking of doing a LS front end swap. Like this style. The hood and everything looks similar, except the fenders. That's why I am asking about the frame. I may need to exchange the bumper and goodies, the headlights, hood and fenders. The malibu is not mine in that pic. My grille is different and my car is not nearly the POS this one is.

 

Should just go get a SS and call it a day. Bigger displacement anyways.
