Default Impala wheels

I have 06 impala lt with 16 in wheels can I put stock 18 in ss wheels with out doing anything else other than just changing the wheels or is there more to it?

well is the overall tire size is the same then you dont have to worry about the speedo. if theres a change in the overall tire size then yes but the rims themselves have nothing to do with the speedo the only other thing you have to consider is the TPM for the air pressure.
stock tires are 225/60/16
and 235/50/18

so while youre speedo will read 65 youll be going 66.52
50 youll be going 51 mph
so while it will be off it wont be by that much

So how do I get the speedo to read correct then I should have been more specific that I was wondering about stock wheel and tire but thank you

i think you need to recalibrate it with an hp tuner or the dealer might be able to do that. think the cheapest option is through the dealer. i know you could recalibrate truck speedos with the HP tuners but im not really sure about the 06 imp
