Default Multiple codes and temporary loss of acceleration

I got my 2013 Impala about 2000 miles ago from a local county Sheriffs department. Just started yesterday where it will occasionally go into limp mode with a loss of communication to ECM a P0700 code and a cylinder 5 misfire code. It randomly comes up and clears itself within 24 hours. I have no idea where to start with fixing this so I dont get stuck in limp mode and get T-boned. Anyone else have a similar problem?

2013 Impala Cop car? I would touch any cop car at all. Kinda surprised that they are using FWD. Most cops want RWD or an SUV. Are you pulling a P0300 code too?
