Keep car running while locked?

Keep car running while locked?
I would like to be able to take my dog out running around with me. However, I can't figure out how to keep the car running with the door locked.
Does anyone know how to do this on a 2015 Impala with key fob?
I know I can use remote start. However, this only lasts 10 minutes and for some reason the a/c barely blows when using remote start. Definitely not enough for a German Shepherd.
Also, if I go to the grocery store 10 minutes is not enough.
