Default Looking for turn signal help…

This is new to me. Never dealt with this issue before. I’ve asked, described the issue to friends/half-*** mechanic I know, and only get a shrug of the shoulders. I’m sure this issue has been discussed, but I honestly don’t have the time to do a search.

2005 Impala base with the 3.4

turn signals just buzzed when I turn on the switch in either direction. The battery light comes on and I believe the seatbelt warning light comes on too. But when I cancel the turn signals, instrument panel lights go back to normal.
hazard lights work as they should when turned on.

my initial thought was relay. I swapped out every relay in the fuse panel on the left side of the dash. Didn’t fix the issue. So I started pulling fuses. I didn’t swap them, just inspected and they appear fine.
today I put in a new combination switch, still no turn signals. Everything else on the switch worked and still works as it should, just no turn signals…

so please, I beg of you, what am I missing?

Where do you hear the buzzing? Maybe another relay under the dash??

Thanks for the response. My hearing isn’t that stellar, but last night I did attempt to track the sound down to around the hazard light switch.
after reading other posts and other forums, today I choose to replace the hazard light switch with hopes it would cure the issue.

unfortunately it didn’t. But I now know for a fact that the buzzing is coming from the hazard light switch when attempting to use turn signals.

I did read somewhere about a ground wire behind the divers headlamp housing. I believe this is the one on the radiator support. I won’t have time to dig back into it until next Sunday. I have some wire, soldering iron, heat shrink, and I’m sure I can find an eyelet rather easy. So next Sunday, I’ll cut out the ground and splice a new one in and see if I wasted more time or fixed the issue.
