My dad owns a 1965 Impala Caprice with the 427 in it. It is in pretty poor shape currently, but we are planning on restoring it. Has anyone gone through this process and are there any good resources you can direct me too for finding out information on how to properly do this.

The car belonged to my Grandfather so it is a family heirloom to say the least.

Any suggestions would be nice.

 

being a 1965- I think you will be able to find alot of pictures and how to's online.
In fact- I wouldnt be surprissed if theres a web page dedicated to just this model year.

Just to add, this car is very popular with the custom crowd....
So if you do searches- also look up 1965 Chevy Impala Lowrider.
Lowriders may or may not be your thing...... but its a whole other community that can help find parts or offer tips etc and suggestions, etc.
