Default Outdoor temp display problem.

When I start up my 2010 Impala, it has a long delay before it will start reflecting the correct outdoor temp. e.g. last Sunday it took about 30 minutes showing 68 degrees before it finally started climbing to the actual 85 degrees. That was the worst example, but it will usually take 5 - 10 minutes of driving to reflect the current temp. In contrast, my GMC Sierra will start showing the correct temperature by the time I have exited the parking lot.
So, why the long delay? Is this normal on the Impala? If not, is there a fix?

JimK,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue with your 2010 Impala. Have you spoken to your local Chevrolet dealership to confirm the issue?

Thank you!
