Paint?

I would like to paint a piece in my engine.. i just want to know if there is antything i should know?
special paint? or if even i should do it. I saw this guys 02 impala had a black piece in his engine.
i will post a pic of what i want to paint ( i would like to paint it black also)

You will need to use high heat ceramic or paint that is specifically for engines.
