<TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=3 width="100%"><TBODY><TR><TD class=row1 height=28 vAlign=top>Security light started coming on month ago and progressively got worse each week. Tried electric contact cleaner but no luck. Replaced ingnition lock cylinder, checked passlock connection and wires behind dash. All good. Did security relearn. Reprogrammed remote start. Sarted. Got 15 minutes down the road and light came on


Where does the passlock ground out to? Anyone have a diagram?

Well tonight i was driving home and the security turn on. turned off for a bit. then started flashing. Thing is it would do it 6 times, then 4 times then 5 times, then twice.

 

started having kinda the same issues but at times mine wouldn't start.
Gm passlock system is junk I just bypassed the whole thing.

Seems to be a common view that the passlock system is crap, I just realized my starting/running issues are most likely caused by the passlock and having lost the factory (smart) key, and using a copy for the past few weeks.

So, how did you bypass (disable?) the passlock system? Details please!
