Default popped up on my 2008 chevy impala
the display says "Engine Power Reduced" and then switches to "Service Traction Control"

nope. If only it was that easy. the code is for a fault is in the sensor 1 circuit. the pedal, wiring or pcm could be the fault. testing is required to determine where the fault lies. if you want to guess, you could replace the pedal.
