Default rear detection sensor install

I have a 2014 impala ltz that has a service rear detection message on dash.
Has anyone replaced the sensor?
I have access to the sensor it appears to be glued to the inside of rear bumper.
I understand that i need to take to the dealer after installing new sensor.
Any info would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! I had to take my 2014 impala back 3-4 times for repair on the service rear sensor problem. First on the right side then on the left side the the right side again with the harness. After replacement of the electronic box, it needs to be matched to the vehicle by the tech tool so it will be communicated with. Depending on how bad the module shorted out, it could have also melted the connectors on the harness.
