Reduced Engine Power Light is on

How hard is it too change the accelerator position sensor in 2008 chevy impala LT reduced engine power light keeps coming on car loses power

I 'm told that it is part of the throttle body. You should try and clean the throttle body first.

Welcome to the forum to both of you.

The "ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED" message in the DIC doesn't automatically mean the APP sensor nor TPS. The culprit can't possibly be determined without scanning for trouble code(s).

If you scan it and no codes pop up then its most likely the bcm which is the case with my 02 trailblazer i believe.
