Repair help please
I have a. 2016 impala which was due for annual emissions sticker, and went in with engine engine on. After 1k worth of work, the light is now on for both upstream converters, which at first was not on. They did a fuel system cleaning and air Indjction clean and now the light came on for both upstream converters. Could the clean service blocked both converters? Now they want 2500 to replace converters. Do I have any recourse as to proving they caused the blockage r

I doubt your catalytic converters are blocked. You would know if they were because the car wouldn't go anywhere.

As MMJ pointed out, if they were plugged/restricted, the car would be severely lacking in power.
If you can prove the converter codes weren’t there prior to the service, you can make a case for them being liable, but you would need the freeze frame data to see what mileage the codes set.
I’d recommend going to another shop for a 2nd opinion.
