could be anything like a bad sensor, chaffed wire or poor connection. best thing is to manually inspect the wires/connectors and see if you see any issues or fix it by moving some wires around. ive had a sensor wire rub on the CV shaft and wear it down enough to cause the sensor to stop reading. the do control your traction control, ABS and cruise. but even when i lost my sensor i still was able to activate cruise but other people have lost it, im not sure if that depends on what speed sensor it is

After inspecting front and rear ABS connecters and wiring looms for possible chaffing and broken wires I stumbled uppon a broken sensor in the brake reservoir / master cylinder. I bought a used master cylinder on Ebay and removed the sensor and installed it. After driving around the block a couple times the lights and notifications on dash went off. Simple fix

After inspecting front and rear ABS wires and connectors I ended up re surfacing my rotors because of vibrations when braking with new pads and flushing brake fluid. I noticed the sensor on the brake fluid resivor was damaged so I replaced (clipped in) the sensor with a used one and when I drove it around the block all light went off on the dash.
