Turning on Trip B

Turning on Trip B
Hello all,
I recently purchased a 2014 Impala, new body style, and when I try to turn on Trip B in the DIC, it skips over Trip B and goes to the next selection. I never get the chance to place the arrow next to it. Any suggestions. Thank you.

Is it a used or new Impala?
The only thing I've heard of with Trip B is that it will reset on people. You can probably find those posts.
Does turning off volts help by any chance?
