Updating to Alternator
2 questions -
-Total dummy here...I want to upgrade my 1962 283 generator to an Alternator, I need info on how easy or hard this is to do and where is a reasonably priced supplier to purchase one from?
-Replacing the radio with an authentic looking up-to- date version, current AM radio is dead and I have no understanding of where to start to look?

This is one example of an alternator. You will need a mounting bracket which you can buy or make. They are very easy to make.
