Default Warnings

I just purchased a 06 Impala lease buy back.

With no one sitting in the passenger seat the passenger seat belt warning light comes on and stays on. Then when someone does get into the passenger seat that warning goes out but then the passenger airbag warning light comes on and stays on. I am assuming this is some kind of sensor issue? What is the solution?

I suspect you have a problem with the weight sensor in the passenger seat.
