Default 1970 blazer restore---what color should I paint?

Just got a new project truck and would prefer keeping it all original but I really dislike the yellow color on a truck.
What's it gonna do to the value if I paint it red or orange?
Thanks for any input[QUOTE]

Do you plan on keeping it or are you planning on restoring it for resale? If you planning on selling it at an auction then some people like to have the vehicle as original as possible while others like custom. Either way since it is now considered a classic the value of the vehicle is based on the overall quality of the vehicle and the paint is just part of it.

If you plan on keeping it then paint it whatever color(s) you like. I am not a fan of the yellow either but a good two tone white over orange would look good to me or the white over red.

I have a 1972 K5 4x4 Blazers in bronze I didn't love it when I got it but it was a near perfect K5 at a great value so I bought it. I have learned to love it and am happy with the color I get tons of comments every time I take it out. If you must change colors do it right with all the areas painted between the doors under the hood in the glove box etc. If you change it and it must be between those two colors I like the Chevy orange a lot more then the reds personally not that that matters at all. The main thing to keep in mind is you have a great truck just enjoy it. Awesome as is IMO. PG

Do you have the SPID in the door of the glove box?
It would show the stock color try to post it here if you can.

Here are a few of my K5. Like I said I love the color more every day but its stock.
Yours I am pretty sure has been painted as I dont think they did a two tone paint back then so it might not matter for yours as much. PG

I also want to put this out there I am looking for a 1975 rust free K5.
I dont care if it has an engine or tranny interior etc but do not want a
rust project if you know of one please forward to me.

Thanks PG
