Howdy yall, im new, I love forums and theres no better place to be than an all chevy forum, hope yall enjoy.

This is my 1974 blazer, has a LT1 350 60 over with a turbo 400, no lift, sittin on 35s, full top, full roll cage, welded rear. Shes loud and big and beat up. This truck is a real beast, gets me everywhere. I bought it for $500 4 years ago with everything it currently has on it, just needed some gas.

Currently not running, loud knocking noise when I give it gas, im leaning toward it being a dropped piston, ill find out very soon and will post all my progress, upgrades etc along the way.

 

a higher pitched knocking could be detonation from crappy fuel or timing too advanced, a deep knocking is much worse, usually a conn rod or spun main bearing

 

Well I have figured out the problem, it is a rod knock, and the transmission is going out, as well as the front end.

SO taking the wheels/tires and roll cage out and parting it out or scrapping it. Just gona buy a new wheelin rig.
