Default 1992 K5 - intermittent rough idle

Hello. I've been having a problem with my very old/still running (at 389,000+ miles) 1992 Chevy Blazer. It's the original 350 engine. I just had it tuned up and had the EGR valve replaced. The truck wouldn't start up prior to these parts being replaced. Prior to it NOT starting, it ran rough at idle and seemed like it was going to "die out". The mechanic told me the EGR valve was sticking; that he pushed it in and it ran fine. Well, he since replaced it, and it seems to have an intermittent running problem again/still. It'll run fine, and after a while (could be days later or later in the same trip) that when I come to a stop, the idle drops to 1, 2 or 300 RPM's and the truck is ready to die. If I get the RPM's up to 1,000, it's fine. Now, if I give it a lot of gas, (eg. "punch it") it seems to run better. Anyone else ever have this issue?
