i have a 1981 k5 blazer with 305 4x4 the distributor has vacuum advance as well as electronic advance. the engine cranks but the is no spark to the spark plugs. i have already replaced the pickup coil, the ignition module, and the coil on top of the distributor cap and nothing is helping. i need advice because this problem is already way past my knowledge. thanks

 

Sounds like its time to get out the volt meter. Check the coil to see if its getting power.

 

hey mike as i said we checked the battery hot connection to the distributor and we have power going to the coil but we have nothing going to the spark plugs. this distributor does not have a coil wire. it is electronic hard to find parts for distributor. how do we check the coil with the volt meter. my buddy checked the rotor and got bit so we know the rotor is getting power.
