i recently replaced the tailgate support on my 89 k5 blazer and not the tailgate will not line up and shut unless i pry down on tailgate/ pry up on body. The knotches on the tailgate do not alighn/ go into the holes on the body. any suggestions or ideas would be amazing!!!!!!!!!

 

You need to adjust the hinges in order to make the TG line up right. If that cannot be done, perhaps you got the wrong support installed?
