90 k5 tail light problem
Got my truck running thanks for the help everyone. now i have realized that the driver side tail light only works when the head lights are on. this means on turn signal or brake light. i checked the bulbs and they are not blown. i know it is probably something simple but it is driving me nuts. also is there any good k5 sites that have trouble shooting.
Update...Took a battery andtest light andtested the outlets and they all work. i plugged it back in and now i have nothing. did not see a spot under the truck where the wire was grounding out the wire is ina sleeve most the way up. anyone know where i can get a wiring diagram. am i over looking anything. i still have a tail light on the other side and everything on that one is working.

did you happen to check you trailer plugs, if you have any. I had the same problem once, it was corrosion inside the trailer plug, grounding out the lights, but not enough to blow a fuse. Also, my '86 k5 had a ground wire break behind the taillight. Not behind the red lens, but behind the silver peice under the lens. the ground wires from all the lights there ground with a screw. At least thats whats there on my 86, 84, 78, and 76. Although they all have the same style of tail light.
