Default 93 Blazer electrical problem

I have a 1993 chevy full size blazer with a short in the wiring. I have traced it to a connector that goes between the engine compartment and the cabin behind the steering column. Can the connector be changed out or does the whole wire harness have to be changed? If the connector can be changed, does anyone know how to do that? If I want to clean up the connector first, what would be the best way to clean it?

Default Connecters

I wouldn't be able to tell what connector you are talking about without a pic but a large majority of connectors can be found at a GM dealership or online if you know where to look. And you are sure it is a connector and not a bare wire? What is the electrical problem you have been having?

Default Here are some pics

I have checked dealers, online, and even called multiple salvage and parts places and were not able to find connectors or even the wiring harness for the 1993 Blazer full size. I am going to attach a couple of pics. Please let me know where I might be able to find the connectors or an old 93 blazer that might be being parted out. A mechanic at the dealer suggested that I drill a whole in the firewall and just pull through the bad wires and reconnect them external to the connector. I would prefer to splice in a new connector on each side instead of drilling a whole in the firewall. If there is a new or used connector out the, complete with the contacts, I would be willing to re-install both of them instead of drilling or splicing. I will do what I have to do to get this truck back up and running.

Default connectors

Sadly wiring is one of the most annoying things to deal with
Had the same thing happen to my older blazer just with all the wires shorting haha. Have you tried looking for a harness on Ebay? That's where i found mine. Also your harness should be exactly the same as any 93 and below Tbi sbc truck or blazer of the same body style. You probably already knew this though.
If i find anything else out I'll be sure to let you know=) Also talk to Painless Wiring, they may have or know where to get your connectors.
