Hi all, my blazer got stuck in the yard in mud and after revving to get it out, it died. Opened the hood and it smoked a little. Let it sit. Oil levels were fine, temp read fine, everything was great. Truck barely made it home from that endeavor. Struggled to get up to speed and it was knocking and had a horrible smell emitting. When I went to pull up the driveway, it died again. It reads low oil pressure to the point where my check gauge lights up. I'm lost here. Have replaced the egr valve, changed the oil, and still nothing. Please help!!!

Try hooking up a mechanical oil pressure gauge to see if the oil pressure really is low.
