Default Engine swap

I have a 1972 GMC short bed 4x4 with a 350 I want to replace the engine with 2012 6.2L is this possible?

Sure, if you have enough $$$. A 1972 small block to a modern BB is going to cost a fortune. Why not drop a 396 or a 427 or modify the 350 to a 383 into your pickup? Be lots cheaper since you have no computer for one thing. Dump the distributor, with an electronic ignition and let it rip !
