Default Help,,transmission has problems

Hello to all,,,,I'm brand new to this site and am at wits end trying to figure what happened to the transmission in this 1994 full sized Blazer. I got the Blazer that had a bad 5.7 TBI engine with automatic and also got a 1992 Suburban W/automatic that has a good 5.7 TBI engine. The Blazer is 4X4 and the suburban was 2WD.
I removed the bad engine in the Blazer and installed the 5.7 from the suburban and got it running good,,,but now, the original Blazer auto transmission will not start out in low gear when gear shift is in OD. It acts as if it is in high gear and will move forward but have to give it more gas. If you manually shift it to low, it will jump out there and will shift into 2nd when you shift gearshift into D2 and then into drive when you shift shifter into OD. This transmission DOES NOT have the TV cable, so what could be the problem with it not starting out in low gear??
Transmission seems to work good IF you manually use the gear shift to shift it but,,somrthing is not right,,????
Can anybody help??
