Go with a new exhaust, make sure your cats are not clogged, and also clean the throttle body (or Carb) really good, a nice intake will help. Also if you want to go this route, you can change the rear-end gear to give it more acceleration.

Welcome to the CF

Lots of money, Like someone said in another thread a few days ago, you cant get much out of these motors unless you rebuild it with performance parts & reprogram the ECM.External things like intake & exaust will make it sound neat & a little more power..

increase or add turbo, biggest gain not cheap but not uber expense of rebuilding the entire engine.

on later models vehicles, base first round mod's for performance and "affordable"

ECU tune (if applicable)
Exhaust
Filters (k&n/Green/etc)

these above seem to "unlock" the base power from factory, noticable gains. if your looking to build a more extreme speed machine, be prepared to spend much more $

have fun
