Default Intermittent engine revving

I have a 1999 Chevy Tahoe that has acquired an intermittent engine revving while driving. It has happened at 35 mph and at over 50+ mph on the highway. I can see the tach "jumping" up and down while it revs up. I just had a new idle motor put in it, but it still has the same problem. Anyone else have this problem?

I can see the tach "jumping" up and down and I can hear the engine revving. I see and hear, but I really don't "feel" anything - it doesn't feel like the truck is moving any faster.
