K5 Blazer 1969-1994
While this model ended its run, it is not uncommon to see them on the road or off, years after production end.

Default just curious

I have an 84 blazer k5, I am piecing back together slowly but surely. My question is, I have the chevy 10 bolt rear end with 3.42 gears, I have a replacement front axle with 3.73 gears, will this difference in gearing be too much difference. This is no highway vehicle by no means, and will not be driven but maybe twice monthly. It has 44" tractor tires if that would help by any means.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

John

it wont be a problem if it will only be used on slipery surfaces, on another note, having this setup will be detrimental to off road performance, when 4x4ing you want your fron tires to spin faster than your rear, so if your front diff is slower then you will get stuck easier, i wouldnt do this, ring and pinions are cheap
