While this model ended its run, it is not uncommon to see them on the road or off, years after production end.

Default Lift question

So, I have an 85' K5, no lift, sitting on 32.5" BFG A/T. Recently, the shocks and springs for an 8" BDS lift were donated to me. My buddy bought the kit, drove on it for a month and decided he wanted a 12" instead. And he also wants me to lift my truck(couldn't afford the kit) so he let me have em. . I just wanted to double check that I am ordering all the right parts I need.

Have:
(2) 73-87 8in Front Leaf Springs
(2) 73-87 8in Rear Leaf Springs
(2) Front Hydraulic Shock Absorbers
(2) Rear Hydraulic Shock Absorbers

Need:
77-87 GM Front Box Kit
GM Rear Axle Box Kit
69-91 GM 4in Steering Arm
3in Steering Block
GM Transfer Case Drop Kit
Anti-Sway Bar Drop Kit

What do yall think? Anything I do/don't need?

your driveshafts will need to be lengthened, the rubber brake lines will also need to be moved to under the frame (unless u buy new longer ones) also a little tip, when doing serious 4x4ing take out the rear shocks and front sway bar and watch the sucker flex and go places u never thought
