While this model ended its run, it is not uncommon to see them on the road or off, years after production end.

Default Manual Trans Advice

In the middle of a body off restoration on a 1970 K5 4WD. Currently an automatic trans truck and I want to change to a manual. I plan to replace original engine with LS3 but not clear on what manual I should drop between the LS and the transfer case. This K5 is on BaT at the moment and below is an image of what looks like a vintage 4 speed trans.https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...et-blazer-116/

Part number in photos looks like GM 3801137? Any tips on the ideal manual trans I can spec for this build? It can be a modern or vintage. This is my first Chevy truck restoration so I have a lot to learn. Doing al the work myself in my garage btw.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Go for a New Process 435GA Transmission, if it will fit. Otherwise I'd opt for a Borg-Warner transmission. They are tough as nails.
