with a truck like that you dont buy it to get gas milage. you would have to put smaller tires on it and drop a stock motor in it .

I have a 78 Blazer, 6" lift, 33's. My mileage is horrible, I blame it on the tires and carb, also an eddlebrock... yours may have too much cfm for the engine. But 500 bones for a truck you can register is a good deal. You can find parts anywhere for these. PS- let me know where he got the ragtop, I am pricing.

If You really like it and want it, Then buy it. To get better gas mileage, Put one of the Edelbrock or Holley Electrinic Fuel Injestion units on it, Buy another set of wheels and put tires with a street tread and 45 lbs of air and Your mileage will increase dramatcally. A plus is that the Fuel injection works much better off road than a carb.

TIRE SIZE WON'T HURT YOUR MILEAGE TO BAD. I RUN 33'S WITH A CARB AND 3.50 GEARS AND I PULL OFF 16 MILES A GALLON ON THE HIGHWAY. WHATS HURTING YOU THE MOST IS THE CAM AND CARB. BUT IF YOU WANT TO TURN THOSE BIG TIRES AND HAVE POWER TO SPARE I WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING AND LET IT RIP.
