Default 07 malibu - no crank /start , all lights/gauges work, power steering on radio

car does not crank but has power, new starter 30 days ago, battery fully charged and power to gauges and lights. power steering lit up on radio.

The newer cars are using electronic power steering, not hydraulic, so that MIGHT be an issue. Could be if the DC power runs through the steering, its not allowing
the car to start. That just an educated guess since I dont have a wiring diagram for the newer E-P-S cars.

Seems to be a ground issue , ran jumper cables to another car and ran negative end of cable to engine bolt and started right up. Then ran just the negative jumper cable from the negative battery terminal to bolt on engine and started right up. All error and power steering on radio disappeared. For now will get 2 feet of negative cable and run from neg. battery to engine bolt to help get better ground.

ran a ground wire from ground on front pillar to engine.
Followed small battery ground from negative battery cable to front pillar and unbolted bolt and ran extra ground wire to engine.

starts right up and error on odemeter and power steering on radio info center went away.

cost about $10 for 20" braided ground wire.
