thanks alot for the help. i am currently tracking down parts and fell to my next problem. the donor motor is a 5.7 liter vortec 350. i was told the tranny mates up but are the vortec heads ported different to where i would need to get different headers, or are they the same. im hoping there wont be any problem becuase the vortec headers are SPENDY, but thats ok i guess part of the game, as for the project i will make sure to take all the pictures i can and keep everyone updated. oh i almost forgot, i was looking at rims off the newer malibus and i like the ook but i cant find any info on the bolt pattern. if anyone knows if they bolt up the same or what i would have to do. they seem like a cheaper alternative to expensive aftermarket rims and they look good, thanks alot

no i got the motor without the intake or distributor so im switching to carburated. its seems the cheaper way to go, plus i wont have all those messy electronics, but the motor is out of a 1999 tahoe. does it still bolt up to the earlier model turbo 350. that would be great so i dont have to switch to a later model, i was looking at the tranny that came with it and it had pluggins on it, something i want nothing to do with. good old school muscle on a strong motor is what i want to acomplish, with as a simple a setup as possible. thanks again.
