Default 2000 Malibu power steering pump replacement

New here and this is my first post. Has anyone on here replaced the PS pump on an 00 Malibu? I've got someone that wants me to replace theirs (not sure on engine ) but I'm not sure what that entails, or if I even have all the tools needed.
What tools will be needed and roughly how many hours could this job take? I heard the engine has to be lifted up. Is that true? Ive replaced the pump on my 95 f150 twice( yeah yeah, I know, typical ford blah blah blah) and can get that done in an hour or so but I have never done one on a car.

you will need a p/s puller kit to remove the pulley from the pump. kits range from $60 - $100
make sure when the pulley is pressed back on, its installed to the correct depth or there will be belt alignment problems.

do not start the engine until you have manually bled the system. raise the front wheels, turn the steering from stop to stop 15x. top up the fluid and repeat until the fluid level does not drop. have someone start the engine and be ready to add fluid to the reservoir so it won't empty and pull in air. If you don't do this, the pump pulls air into the system and the pump will be noisy.
