Default 2002 3.1 v6 malibu rpms going up intermittinently

Hi guys
had this to three garages could not find problem.
Went to dealer said $350. up front to tell me what it is..Belive me it is true

Ok here is what happens

Car will start normal
idle at around1000 rpms drop back to around 600 normal.

Other times will go to 3000 rpms and stay there.No check engine lights on or codes showing up.
One garage changed three sensers no change.put old ones back.

I have to make up my mind if i will take the dealer up on the 350.anyone help with this

Default 2002 3.1 v6 malibu rpms going up

Hey Guys

Took this car to the dealer today Worked on it for 5 hrs
said chafed wire and oxygen sensor,charged $490.

went out hour ago same thing
Started car rpms shot up to 3000.

They told me they found oxygen sensor with there scan.
How come other garages did not show it.
Something wrong
Just a little pissed off
Have to go back in the morning

just wanted to give you guys update

will let you know tomorrow what they find if anything.
I stuck with them for now as they have my 5 bills

Ok guys
Problem solved

Told me computer was bad suggested I buy used one.
I got one$100. same # they gave me and they programed it for me

I kind of doubt them at first but after two weeks all still good
