Default 2006 Malibu LS how to replace power window fuse

Hi,

The power window stopped working on my malibu 2006 LS recently. Neither driver side master switch nor individual window switches would work. I suspect the power window fuse was blow somehow. I was able to locate the fuse in instrument fuse box, but don't know how to remove it - the puller inside the box is only for smaller fuses.

Appreciate any help or info.

Thanks!
saimer

Welcome to the forum. You probably want to swing by a parts place to pick up an appropriate fuse puller. You can also try a needle-nose plier with long nose. Keep in mind that the front switches get the power from the POWER WINDOWS fuse but the rear switches get the power from the driver side switch, depending on the lock-out switch setting.

Thank you EinST. I finally had the guy at garage changed the fuse for me, paid $15. And he just used a long nose plier to remove the fuse. The power window works again.

Default fuse continues to blow

I had the same problem. However when i changed the fuse, as soon as i turned on the ignition switch, the new fuse blew as well. Do you think this could be a relay or something more intense?
