I bought this car back in February and ever since I'd say around March theres been a clicking from the fuse box.
I haven't been able to identify it until today because it's so intermittent.
The clicking is coming from an aftermarket remote lock/unlock.
I have the fob for it but it doesn't work and I've had no success on trying to program it and I'm not entirely dedicated to having one, might change my mind later but right now I'm fine just manually unlocking and locking.
So my question is, can I just unplug this box and it not affect anything?

Well. Make sure first it isn't a REMOTE START. Those are famous for making new cars into probate total losses due to massive engine damage if they malfunction even a little.
If it's remote lock-unlock, IDK. That's supposed to be illegal, impossible, and I'd think it had to be a stolen car if it's not an OEM part - which it isn't.
If it's stolen I can't help you. Only dealers are allowed to work on that.

WHAT!? 😂😂 Your reply is so far in the left field my guy. It's not a remote start, it's 100% remote lock and unlock. I've never once heard of them being illegal, considering there's definitely shops around my area that run legal businesses installing them. And the car is 100% free and clear in my name from a dealership and is not stolen 😂
