2007 Malibu Range Extender

3 1/2 years ago I purchased my 2007 Chevy Malibu LTZ and had the dealership install what they called a "range extender" for the autostart, locking, unlocking, etc.
I am having problems with the key fob now and can find little information about the brand of range extender or how to replace it. The only info I can get off the key fob is the word "DATASTART" on the top of the remote.
My question is....can any suggest a brand to replace it with or even what brand it is?
I'm just wondering what I should do next.

Welcome to the forum.
Check the battery inside the key fob? If not that, since you'll have to take your vehicle in, call around shops in your area that install remote starters and car alarm systems. Either get it fixed or let them hook you up with something within your budget. Mind, more bells and whistles now mean more headache later when (not if) the system craps out.
