Default 2009 Malibu radiator fan and ac fan issue

Temp hand slightly creeping up at idle. Seems like neither fan is turning on. Could someone explain to me how the system works please. relays and details and help with what may be my issue. Ac on hood popped no fan running. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure what you meant by Ac on hood popped. Can you elaborate?

I'd wager your cooling fans are in working order, but not getting power. Most likely the cooling fan relay has gone bad.

I'd check all the wires for any corrosion or other issues as well, including the wires going to your coolant temperature sensor.

I would not trust Pepboys service department for anything. Bad Juju many years ago with those morons.

I'd try jumping some power directly to the wiring connector or do a continuity test yourself. That fan assembly is about
$90 dollars USD from Rock Auto..
