2010 chevy malibu 2.4L, throttle body problems
my fiance bought this car from an Alan Jay dealership a few weeks ago. they told him that the car would have some issues with the throttle body. what i would really like to know is if it is worth the money and effort to replace the throttle body? if we replace the throttle body, will the problem continue to happen or will it be fixed? if anyone has a solution, that has worked effectively, please share! thank you for all the help in advance!
Since the car was already bought, then you don't have much of a choice. You can get a new throttle body at Rockauto for $115. You didn't mention what the problem was, so there is no way of knowing if a new throttle body will fix the problem.
I just replace my throttle body, because of SVC POWER REDUCED . As soon as I go home, I get to a light, stop, and then the car has a burst of POWER. If I doesn't have the brakes pressed, I would have rammed into the car ahead of me!! I take car back, they tell me they can't check my trans fluid and I ought to go to a transmission specialist.
Ok, but why did this happen immediately after having my throttle body changed? I'm not saying anything other than what did installing a new throttle bodyhave an effect on what appears (not saying much for my automotive diagnosis) any light, anyone can shed on my issue, would be greatly appreciated. Would, changing the trans fluid, with new fluid, seem like a good next step? Thank you in advance for all the gread advice given!!or your advice
