I have a new 2010 Malibu here in Illinois, where they require the ugly front license plate. I used to have a 1999 Grand Prix, and I was able to get a nice looking "Pontiac" front plate cover that took the plate of the plate. It was factory made and fit perfectly in the void of the bracket.

I wonder if a cover like this is available for the Malibu. I'll deal with the police later, but that front plate holder is ugly.
